A former standout wide receiver at Northern State University, Coach Bauer has built a reputation as one of the premier offensive skills coaches in the country. With over 10 years of elite coaching experience, he’s trained and mentored hundreds of top athletes, including NFL talent:

Coach Canyon Bauer is redefining football in South Dakota. As the Co-Founder of Bauer’s Elite Training Academy, he brings championship experience, elite-level performance, and a visionary approach to player development.
A 3-year starting wide receiver at South Dakota State University, Coach Bauer played a key role in leading the Jacks to their first-ever FCS National Championship in 2022, as well as the MVFC title. Known for his toughness, precision, and football IQ, Bauer is a proven leader on and off the field.
Before SDSU, Coach Bauer set the South Dakota All-Time Receiving Record and was named 2018 South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year—solidifying himself as one of the most decorated high school receivers in state history.
As Wide Receivers Coach and Head Coach of Sharks 7v7, Coach Bauer trains and mentors the next wave of elite playmakers. His focus on explosiveness, route discipline, and game-day confidence has made him a go-to coach for wideouts across the Midwest.
He also serves as Director of Recruiting Combines, NFL Pro Day Prep, and Youth 7v7 Leagues under Bauer’s Elite Training Academy, giving athletes the tools, exposure, and coaching needed to dominate at every level—from youth to the pros.
