    Coach Canyon Bauer is redefining football in South Dakota. As the Co-Founder of Bauer’s Elite Training Academy, he brings championship experience, elite-level performance, and a visionary approach to player development.

    A 3-year starting wide receiver at South Dakota State University, Coach Bauer played a key role in leading the Jacks to their first-ever FCS National Championship in 2022, as well as the MVFC title. Known for his toughness, precision, and football IQ, Bauer is a proven leader on and off the field.

    Before SDSU, Coach Bauer set the South Dakota All-Time Receiving Record and was named 2018 South Dakota Gatorade Player of the Year—solidifying himself as one of the most decorated high school receivers in state history.

    Coach Buckley is one of the Midwest’s rising stars in defensive development and performance training. A decorated standout from Augustana University, he brings championship experience, All-American honors, and elite-level defensive knowledge to Bauer’s Elite Training Academy.

  • Coach Nate Gerry
    Linebackers Coach | Defensive Backs Coach

    Coach Nate Gerry brings championship-level experience and elite defensive knowledge to Bauer’s Elite Training Academy. A Sioux Falls native, Gerry was a standout safety for the Nebraska Cornhuskers (2013–2016), starting 40 of 50 games and finishing his career with 273 tackles and 13 interceptions—tied for 2nd most interceptions in Nebraska history.

    A three-time All-Big Ten selection, 2016 Third-Team All-American, and two-time team captain, Gerry was a core leader of Nebraska’s Blackshirt defense. He consistently ranked among the team leaders in both tackles and interceptions for three straight seasons.

    Gerry was selected in the 5th round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles, transitioning from safety to linebacker. He played a key role on special teams during the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII championship run, and later spent time with the San Francisco 49ers and Washington Commanders.

    Now as a coach, he specializes in linebacker and defensive back development, defensive IQ, communication, coverage versatility, and game-speed decision making—training athletes to play fast, physical, and smart on defense.

  • Coach Lorenzo Brown Jr – Quarterbacks Coach | Sharks 7v7 Co-Offensive Coordinator – Bauer’s Elite Training Academy

    Coach Lorenzo Brown is the definition of a winner. A two-time National Champion, National Player of the Year, and former 29-0 starting quarterback at the University of Sioux Falls, Coach Brown brings championship pedigree and unmatched quarterback expertise to Bauer’s Elite Training Academy.

    Before USF, he was a two-time All-American at North Iowa Area Community College, appearing in two bowl games. After college, Coach Brown carved out a legendary 12-year career in the Indoor Football League, where he:

    • Won 5 IFL National Championships

    • Led the league in career rushing yards and touchdowns by a QB

    • Ranked Top 5 in career passing yards and touchdowns

  • Coach Shane Dailey Jr.
    Wide Receivers Coach | Bauers-Sharks 7v7 Coach | Sports Performance Coach

    Coach Shane Dailey Jr. brings elite playing experience, leadership, and championship pedigree to Bauer’s Elite Training Academy. A Nebraska high school standout and Burlsworth Character Award recipient, he competed at South Dakota State University, Idaho State University, and the University of Nebraska at Kearney—earning a conference championship, finishing as a national runner-up, and becoming a two-year Big Sky starter. He appeared in 30+ collegiate games and served as a team captain at multiple stops, known for his toughness, durability, and leadership.

    As a coach, Coach Dailey specializes in wide receiver development, route running, game-speed mechanics, and total athlete performance, preparing athletes to play fast, physical, and disciplined.

  • Coach Joseph Sapp
    Defensive Backs Coach | Bauers-Sharks 7v7 Coach

    Coach Joseph Sapp brings high-level defensive back experience and technical precision to Bauer’s Elite Training Academy. Originally from Sacramento, California, he played the 2021 season at Butte College before transferring to the University of Sioux Falls in 2022.

    At Sioux Falls, Coach Sapp started 26 collegiate games, earning 2024 NSIC Second Team All-Conference honors at cornerback. He finished his career with 85 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, and 24 pass breakups, demonstrating consistent production and elite coverage ability.

    Now as a coach, he specializes in defensive back fundamentals, man and zone coverage, footwork, ball skills, and game-speed decision making—preparing athletes to play fast, disciplined, and confident in the secondary.

  • Coach Blake Larson
    Offensive Line Coach

    Coach Blake Larson brings elite-level offensive line experience and professional football insight to Bauer’s Elite Training Academy. A decorated collegiate lineman, Larson was a two-time team captain at Augustana University (2022, 2023) and one of the most accomplished offensive linemen in program history.

    He earned First Team All-American honors in 2023, Second Team All-American in 2022, and Honorable Mention All-American in 2021, along with three First Team All-Conference selections and three All-Super Region honors.

    Following college, Larson signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent after the 2024 NFL Draft, appearing in all three preseason games and later joining the practice squad. In January 2025, he signed with the Arlington Renegades, continuing his professional football career.

    As a coach, Larson specializes in offensive line fundamentals, leverage, hand placement, footwork, pass protection, and run-game dominance—developing linemen to play fast, physical, and technically sound in the trenches.

  • Coach Cade Terveer
    Defensive Line Coach

    Coach Cade Terveer brings elite production and trench-level toughness to Bauer’s Elite Training Academy. A three-year starter at South Dakota State University, Terveer earned First Team All-Conference honors, establishing himself as a consistent and disruptive force on the defensive line.

    A dominant South Dakota high school standout, he is the state’s all-time career sacks leader and finished second all-time in single-season sacks, showcasing elite pass-rush ability and relentless motor.

    As a coach, Terveer specializes in defensive line technique, pass-rush development, hand usage, leverage, and gap control—training athletes to win in the trenches with speed, power, and discipline.

  • Coach Hunter Thompson – Defensive Backs Coach | Sharks 7v7 Defensive Coordinator | Executive Advisor – Bauer’s Elite Training Academy

    Now in his third year with the Sharks, Coach Hunter Thompson leads the defense with a high-level football IQ and a proven, winning scheme. A former Strong Safety and Quarterback at Concordia University – St. Paul, Coach Thompson brings a dual-threat mindset to both sides of the ball.

    With extensive experience coaching youth QBs and DBs across Minnesota, and years of running successful 7v7 leagues, Coach Thompson knows how to develop talent and build confident, game-ready athletes.

    As Executive Advisor, he plays a critical role in shaping the Bauer’s Elite experience—supporting athlete development, streamlining operations, and helping the Academy grow with purpose.

    Now serving as Running Backs Coach and a Core Coach for the Sioux Falls Sharks 7v7, Coach Treasure is dedicated to building explosive, disciplined, and high-IQ backs. His experience, energy, and leadership fuel the next generation of athletes on and off the field.
